Thanks!  I loved the horns - that is why I decided to paint him.  He was actually at a zoo, but I decided he would be happier in the mountains

Hi Pam.

This is a really outstanding painting. I love the color palette you used. the textures are fantastic.

I'm glad you took him out of the zoo and put him in the wild. He looks very content lying there.

Puzzle Download :[link]. He made a very stunning and beautiful puzzle.

Lynn:)

Love it! He looks so free - and almost camouflaged so that he is a living part of the mountains, looking out to the distance with them! Do you do larger wildlife works? I think they would look amazing, and capture the grandeur of your ideas.

Thanks :). My painting "Bear" was 24 x 30. "The Keepers of The Sage" was 36 x 48. Pretty big for me. Right now I am starting another painting of a grizzly bear on a 36 x 48 canvas.

Hi, I'm commenting to let you know that this has been added to the "Featured" section of our gallery at #Sellers-Showcase :D

Your artwork is very impressive on the technical side, the lighting and colours are beautiful and the texture of each brush stroke only seems to increase the realism and bring it to life even more. Great work and congrats c:

Ibexes are native animals in Israel and I can see them in the wild anytime I go to a hike in the desert. The way you combined the ibex and the rocks is realistic and great! :)
Your oils look a bit as acrylics and I love this effect.
I would like to know if the size of the painting is in cm or in inches?

That is just a small painting - 9 x 12 inches.

You are lucky - I would love to see one in the wild. I am glad what I did with the rocks looks realistic

I live in Montana, close to Yellowstone National Park - so I see a lot of elk and bighorn sheep and such. But nothing with such fabulous horns as the Ibex

It is worth the trip if you have never been. During the summer months you have to fight the crowds, but there are a lot of natural wonders to see. I avoid the main tourist routes (like Old Faithful and such) and head for Lamar Valley where a lot of animals hang out during the summer. :) Winter time is nice, and very beautiful. They only keep one gate open when it starts snowing - which is the one by where I live. And they just keep the roads plowed from that gate, through the valley, and up to a little town where people like to go snowmobiling. Which works for me :), because I just head for the valley to look for wildlife !!
