OMG! I thought this was a photograph at first glance. I can't believe the detail. The water on either side of the goose...one side ripples and smooth and the other side in motion with bubbles. The different pattern of the feathers are beautiful and the sun shinning only on a portion of the back. The eyeball has the light reflection too. I have often wondered how the painter thinks of a subject to paint and then it travels down the arm to the hand and then onto the canvas. ha ha I think it's amazing. Great painting!
My oils are usually kind of a time consuming process. I start out by painting the main shapes and lights and darks with opaque colors. Then usually go over it once more refining the detail and adding more. Then I start adding more color and more detail with transparent colors
Whaaaaaaaaaaaat that's with oil??? ... Ok I beleave it, 'cause I know how magical oil can be... But holy crap!!! It looks like a photo! O____________o Great! I hope, someday I can paint with oil as good as you ^_^
